Romantic Rebel

Romantic Rebel

Chicago’s Romantic Rebel releases their self-titled debut via Pavement Entertainment on April 29th. Founded in 2012 by siblings KT Paige (vocals) and Alex Vincent (guitars) with Danny D on bass and Marcus Lee on drums. An instant promotion machine, they immediately booked shows, distributing free music to build a fan base and filming a video for lead track Dirty Love Song. Tapping former Smashing Pumpkins touring drummer Matt Walker, they entered the studio to record a four song demo at world renowned CRC Studios (Chicago, IL) in September of 2012. Catching Pavements attention, they signed and under the Pavement banner re-worked the track, developing their image, music and stage show throughout 2013.

After numerous regional shows and festivals with national acts they built a loyal, rabid fan base, entering the studio in late 2013 with world renowned producer Ulrich Wild (Deftones, Static-x, Breaking Benjamin) to record their debut album in Los Angeles.
A modern rock anthem was made with throwbacks to classic acts like Van Halen and Aerosmith. Blending female vocals with some Lita Ford attitude and delivery with a classic sound has given them an upper hand, being a hybrid of modern and classic elements ready to turn heads of fans and critics. Romantic Rebel blends, crashes and bangs together the harsh unfiltered rawness of early Guns n Roses with the softer gypsy rock charm of LA Guns with a sunset strip spray tan of attitude and no BS.

Alive infuses a fresh high energy 80’s rock sound brought modern day with the raspy, whiskey strong vocals of Paige. She’s a new school femme fatale in the making, with a sharp attitude and boot that’ll kick you in all the painful places if you mess with her. You’re one of a kind and you’re Bad For Me leads to a hard driving road to recovery from a bad romance. You’re the perfect emotional poison and I can’t see it, till the broken heart comes to clear the fog away. Disappears a hard rocking tune with a distinct country vibe already showing the differences of not following the crowd so keep the flock away from me, I’m the one that got away. Lie (featuring Brenden Small), watch me walk away as my heart falls apart, but it’s better this way, with some heavy guitar’s pulling the heart strings. There’s just some Moment(s) when arguments aren’t ‘worth’ winning. A, New Way to Sin, done for Whom the Bell Tolls style. Over Again’s a song driving you off the cliff ending your old life but saves you for a rebirth. In true 80’s fashion we end with the dark toned reminiscent ballad, Sorry, it’s not you, it’s just me.
