Disciple returns with their fifth disk of hybrid metal infection. Back Again showcases the mosh pit friendly side of Christian rock with a molten cored electric embrace. 13 shredding tunes filled with harmony, melody, frantic guitar work, riffs, hooks, finger splitting solos and enough screaming to rival Slayer. Lyrically the disk is drenched with Bible verses and references with a healthy mix of spoken words and sung verse. Back Again rocks with a grinding fist, ripping your friend’s country lovin’ mullet out from the roots. Fear deals with the power of fear, threats, evil and violence against God. There’s no match.
Touch is inspired by the story of Zaccheus and the woman with the issue of blood. Face is musically comparable to a metal grinding factory without earplugs. Wait proclaims the glory of God’s return and according to Disciple, it will be very, very loud. Hardened sings about people who close their minds and hearts to God but blame him in the face of tragedy. Before You is a loud and proud worship tune that will sadly never get airtime on the church circuit.
While not quite in the same vein as Agony Scene or Living Sacrifice it is a fist pounding record that could make good slam buddies with Demon Hunter. Hear them on the Under Ground Uprising Tour.
